This page provides a clear summary of burial fees and basic rules for the Hatch Cemetery. Fees are set by the Hatch Cemetery District Board in accordance with Utah law and are subject to change.

For questions or to purchase a burial plot, please contact a Cemetery District Board member or Hatch City staff.

The fee schedule is provided for public information purposes. Official policies are maintained by the Hatch Cemetery District Board.

Important Burial Rules

  • One (1) casket burial is allowed per plot.
  • Up to two (2) cremation burials may be placed on one plot.
  • Plots purchased must be assigned to a unique individual at the time of purchase.
  • A cement vault is required for all caskets and cremations.
  • Only one (1) headstone or grave marker is permitted per plot.
  • In newer cemetery sections, flat markers only are allowed.

Plot Purchases and Transfers: Burial plots may be purchased by contacting a Cemetery District Board member or Hatch City staff at 435.735.4364

Available plots may be selected at the time of purchase and a receipt will be issued. Plot transfers to family members require a written request to the Hatch Cemetery District Board and are subject to approval. All applicable fees will be assessed according to this schedule.

Additional Information: Decorations not attached to headstones may be placed during the Memorial Day holiday weekend (Friday through Wednesday). Items not attached may be removed after Wednesday.

Headstones should have a base. If a base settles, cemetery staff will raise the marker as needed.
